My name is Lya and I am currently living in the grand state of Arizona. As of February 21st, however, I will be starting out on an epic adventure to the land of the outback, kangaroos, and "no worries". I plan on spending the next year in Australia working and traveling on a Work/Holiday visa.
This blog will be a way for me to share my experiences with friends and family as well as anyone else who wants to listen in. I'm always up for an adventure so if you've got any suggestions let me know.
I would also like this blog to be a way for people planning on participating in a Work/Holiday program in Australia from the US to get some insight. I have found that there aren't a lot of resources on the topic if you're not from an EU country...so I'll try to be as specific as I can and feel free to ask questions.
Over the next several months I will (hopefully) be compiling lots of useful information about living abroad in Australia. I will attempt to categorize these and post them as permanent pages linked to this blog. If you have anything specific you would like me to look into feel free to comment.
